Nodi Joins the New Zealand Design Pavilion
June 21, 2022
Two years in the making, Nodi is very proud and excited to be partnering with five other leading New Zealand designers to exhibit at San Francisco’s SHACK15, a dedicated space for sharing entrepreneurial ideas from the 20th of June to the 1st of July 2022.
Challenging the public perception of what a ‘space’ should mean and offer, the New Zealand Design Pavilion is made up of three distinct installations created by Nodi, Citta, Noho, Resident, David Trubridge and James Dunlop Textiles. Spanning 7,500 square feet, the exhibition is staged to express the connection to New Zealand’s diverse landscapes: Alpine, Coastal and Rainforest, with each space collaboratively furnished with products that engage the senses and marry the functional with the beautiful.
“Engaging people-centric spaces is something that has always been a priority for Nodi and after the last two years, we’re seeing a real demand for people looking for comfort and connection,” explains Nodi Founder, Olivia Moon.
“Partnering with like-minded New Zealand businesses and creating a coalition, allows us to showcase a sensory journey where design is approachable, inspiring, dynamic and sustainable.”
It’s the first significant design event in the United States where a different country of origin has been highlighted since the pandemic. During these two weeks the New Zealand Design Pavilion invite members of both the public and the trade to be personally hosted by each brands’ founders and design principals in this relaxed setting, overlooking the iconic Golden Gate bridge.
