A love for textiles and tactility hums at the heart of Nodi. Our team is very excited to present a handcrafted collaboration between artist Lisa Walker and Nodi.
Lisa Walker hung a Basket Weave Rug into her Pōneke studio and weaved coloured yarns into our hand-loomed wool. The result is a coming together of artful practices; a celebration of slow-art crafts.
"The back of the rug eventually became more beautiful than the front. I switched sides to work on the back and ignored the front. A cat has a beautiful long tail that wraps around your neck for the perfect necklace. I switched sides again and ignored the back. Small solid striped diamonds made their way there.
